SECTRON d.o.o company has successfully finished the installation, programming and put in proper functionality the fire protection system in Holcim a.d. Serbia. Holcim group with headquarter in Switzerland is one of the world leaders in production of cement, concrete and aggregate rocks. Holcim factory in Serbia, is settled in place called Novi Popovac, which is 170 km away from Belgrade. As a information of production capacity, Holcim factory is capable to produce around 1.4 million tones of cement, with 711 employees.
The fire protection system is made of 9 local separate Kidde Vega Net addressable panels. All this panels are integrated and connected to one unique fire protection network system called Vega Net as a concept of Kidde protection systems. Beside the fire panels, there have been installed smoke and heat detectors, modules, sirens and flash lamps also, in the factory. These modules are made by Hochiki one of the leaders in producing the fire detectors and modules.
All mentioned fire panels in the system are monitored from the main monitoring center station, where the main observation software VEGA NET is installed. This software is giving a full supervision to the whole fire protection system and additionally giving the possibility to control each fire panel separately. The operator has the ability to react in a very short time, in the meaning of fire occasion, detector fault or other events in the system. Also software Vega net is giving the ability to operator to view the precise drawing of the building or the specific floor in the building where the problem has occur. The operator should make the proper action, after receiving the information from the software (evacuate, isolate/deisolate, reset, silence…..). All the events that occurs in the software are stored on the hard drive in this computer where the Vega Net is installed.
