New IP speakers from Hikvision

In early 2024, Hikvision announced a new line of products – IP audio speakers. The range includes speakers of different power, for indoor and outdoor use, with different housings for ceiling, wall or free-standing installation. The products are fully integrated into the HikCentral software platform and support logical connection with other Hikvision IP systems, mainly IP cameras.

The speakers have the following basic capabilities:

    < li>IP connectivity allowing remote setup, NTP time synchronization, etc.
  • Built-in eMMC memory 4GB, eliminating the need for an SD card to store recorded messages and/or other audio files
  • Built-in microphone allowing two-way audio connection between the speaker and HikCentral
  • Different powers (from 3 to 120W), up to 124 dBSPL
  • Possibility of cascading of more than one speaker (main + up to 3 slaves)
  • PoE power supply for some of the models
  • Different modes of broadcast audio transmission – live messages, more advance schedule, in case of an alarm event from other Hikvision cameras (IP cameras), in emergency situations, etc.

Functionally, IP audio systems allow:

  • Logical connection of IP speakers and IP cameras, so that on a given event from a corresponding camera, certain speakers play a message
  • Two-way audio and transmission of live voice messages from an operator
  • Enabling emergency evacuation scenarios  situations where the system plays a recorded alarm message in broadcast mode through all speakers
  • Logical grouping of speakers into zones, allowing operation as a call paging system in larger facilities
  • Create background music playback schedules

 

IP speakers can be used in any scenarios such as shops, bars, restaurants , shopping centers, parks and entertainment complexes, airports, hospitals, construction sites, schools, industrial and industrial sites. These products are a particularly suitable addition to existing Hikvision IP installations and integrated systems.
