AV10005 Camera Offers 3,648 × 2,752 Resolution
At Up To 5 Frames Per Second With Dual H.264/MJPEG Encoding.
Arecont Vision, the leading manufacturer of megapixel surveillance cameras, achieves a new technology summit at ASIS 2009 with the introduction of the first 10-megapixel video surveillance camera that incorporates H.264 compression at full resolution. The new AV10005 10 Megapixel Camera offers 3,648 × 2,752-pixel resolution at up to 5 frames per second, and dual H.264 and MJPEG encoding.
“Technology leadership is an important part of Arecont Vision’s mission. While low-end megapixel cameras can now be assembled from commodity components developed for HD camcorders, higher resolution devices require the use of specialized scalable processors. This new addition to our product line fully leverages our unique MegaVideo® technology and is a testimony to the high level of innovation we bring to the megapixel camera market,” said Dr. Michael Kaplinsky, CEO, Arecont Vision. “Our new H.264 10 megapixel camera further reduces the cost of surveillance per unit area and raises the standard of video detail achievable with manageable bandwidth.”
Targeting the most demanding surveillance applications, the new 10MP AV10005 camera provides full-format 10-megapixel resolution at full frame rates in both MJPEG and H.264 compression types. The camera provides multiple non-identical streams with variable frame rates, bit rates, resolutions and compression quality. Zoom windowing capabilities of this camera offer a true alternative to expensive pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) devices. Available bit rate control, maintains desired bandwidth and storage size. Realtime streaming protocol (RTSP) assures compatibility with media players such as Apple QuickTime, Windows Media Player, VLC Player and others.
The 10MP AV10005 joins Arecont Vision’s broad lineup of megapixel surveillance cameras, including models with advanced capabilities such as dual day/night and panoramic viewing.
